ORIGINAL
HOUSE BLEND.

This is Wakuli’s first and OG blend. 40% comes from small-scale Brazilian farmers in the hilly southeast of Minas Gerais. We work together with our partner Coopervass on direct export and "regenerative" coffee production. In southern Rwanda, farmers affiliated to the Kinazi washing station produce a fruity natural coffee that makes up 35% of the blend. The remaining 25% of your cup is from the Chajulense Association in Guatemala, with which we work together since 2021. The natural coffee from Brazil gives the coffee its chocolatey and nutty sweetness, while the beans from Rwanda and Guatemala provide the freshness and fruitiness. A well balanced, friendly coffee. Easy to love!

DISCOVER
MONTHLY.

This coffee comes from ZCP in Uganda, a diamond in the rough when it comes to coffee. In the far northwest in a region called Zombo, grows high quality arabica that was hardly sold as specialty coffee before we got there. Large exporters know it exists and actively try to push out the small players, which is exactly why this partnership matters. This Discover Monthly comes from Gonyobendo, ZCP's largest farmer-led microstation, a clear example of how community-driven governance can elevate coffee quality. Expect a well-rounded washed arabica with notes of toffee, candied orange and redcurrant. Mmmh!

POWER
HOUSE BLEND.

This blend brings together beans from three coffee-producing continents: 40% washed arabica from CBC (Tanzania), 40% natural arabica from Coopervass (Brazil), and 20% specialty robusta from Ontosoroh (Indonesia). A worldwide coffee! With fresh, fruity notes from Tanzania, nutty flavours from Brazil, and the punch of Indonesian robusta, this blend is strong yet deliciously smooth.

SPICY
ROBUSTA.

This spicy robusta comes from the island of Flores, Indonesia. Together with local changemaker Adri of Ontosoroh (see picture), we've been sourcing coffee for several years, watching quality steadily improve. Climate change brings real challenges here, from shifting rain patterns to drying conditions. Our long-term partnership and stable prices help farmers adapt to these challenges. This specialty robusta is a natural, meaning it's sun-dried. The coffee is powerful, punchy and high in caffeine, just as the name suggests. Expect taste notes of dark chocolate, nuts and red fruit.

THE FUTURE
OF COFFEE.

We work directly with farmer groups  around the world and are building towards fully regenerative coffee production together with our partners. That means when you buy Wakuli, you can be sure that farmers are consistently well paid, the planet gets more love and you drink seriously good coffee. Coffee that's good for all.

SERIOUSLY GOOD
COFFEE FOR YOU.

All our coffee is specialty grade, which is the highest quality standard in the industry, defined by independent Q-graders. On top of that we roast lighter, so you taste more of what the coffee has to offer: funky, expressive flavours you won't find in your average bag. Think of taste notes like strawberry milkshake, chocolate chip cookies or peach iced tea.

And because specialty coffee tastes best fresh, we ship your coffee within one week of roasting, straight from our own roastery just north of Amsterdam. Seriously good coffee, delivered to your door.

FAQ

WE DO

Which brewing method is this coffee suitable for?

In this pack, we offer a wide palette of flavors: from beans that are perfect for espresso and espresso-based drinks to beans that truly shine as filter coffee. Because every coffee has its own unique character, this pack offers something for every preference.

Discover Monthly (Light Roast)
A true filter coffee. Use this for your Moccamaster, Pour-over (V60), Chemex, French Press, or Aeropress.

Original House Blend
The ultimate all-rounder. This bean works for every brewing method: from a balanced espresso to a fruity filter coffee.

Spicy Robusta
The powerhouse for the bean-to-cup machine, espresso machine, or Moka pot (percolator). Ideal for those who love an intense espresso or a bold cappuccino.

Power House Blend
Our powerful all-rounder. Tastes great as an espresso, but its body also makes it suitable for other methods (such as the French Press or Aeropress).

What is specialty coffee?

Specialty coffee is coffee of the highest quality, where the unique flavours of the coffee bean truly shine. The Specialty Coffee Association is an independent organisation that rates coffee beans on a scale from 1 to 100 through a process called cupping, which is a standardized method for evaluating coffee. Only coffee that scores above 80 can be sold as specialty coffee. Wakuli sells coffee that scores above 84, so all our coffee qualifies as specialty coffee.

What does lightly roasted coffee mean?

We source high-quality beans and want you to truly taste their distinct flavours. Supermarket coffee is often dark-roasted to create a uniform, bitter flavor that masks differences in quality. That’s why we roast a lot lighter than most coffees you’ll find in supermarkets or cafés. Even our darkest roast is relatively light compared to supermarket standards. Perfect for both espresso and filter coffee, without the bitter aftertaste.

How fresh is your coffee?

Fresh coffee is the most delicious. As a natural product, its delicate aromas and flavors can fade over time. You’ll quickly notice the difference between aged coffee and a fresh roast. That’s why coffee should be packed and delivered as soon as possible after roasting.

Coffee tastes best within 2 and 6 weeks of roasting. That’s why we ship our coffee within 7 days of roasting at the latest. Once it arrives, make sure to store it as airtight as possible to preserve its flavours and aromas.
