POWER HOUSE BLEND

This blend brings together beans from three coffee-producing continents: 40% washed arabica from Rebuild Women's Hope (DRC), 40% natural arabica from Coopervass (Brazil), and 20% specialty robusta from Ontosoroh (Indonesia). A worldwide coffee! With fresh, fruity notes from DRC, nutty flavours from Brazil, and the punch of Indonesian robusta, this blend is strong yet deliciously smooth.

ORIGINAL HOUSE BLEND

This is Wakuli’s first and OG blend. 50% comes from small-scale Brazilian farmers in the hilly southeast of Minas Gerais. We work together with our partner Coopervass on direct export and "regenerative" coffee production. In southern Rwanda, farmers affiliated to the Kinazi washing station produce a fruity natural coffee that makes up 35% of the blend. The remaining 15% of your cup is from the Kata Muduga Union in Ethiopia, with which we work together since 2021. The natural coffee from Brazil gives the coffee its chocolatey and nutty sweetness, while the beans from Rwanda and Ethiopia provide the freshness and fruitiness. A well balanced, friendly coffee. Easy to love!

Three reasons why our coffee tastes great.

YOU GET TOP NOTCH BEANS.

Whether you like funky or more traditional coffee, all our beans are specialty grade. We source from small scale farmers around the world and we select our coffees for taste, quality and positive impact.

Three reasons why our coffee tastes great.

LIGHT ROAST, MAXIMUM TASTE.

We roast our coffee ourselves, and do it just a little lighter. This allows the coffee's special flavours to be revealed more clearly.

Three reasons why our coffee tastes great.

YOUR COFFEE IS NEVER NOT FRESH.

Specialty coffee tastes best a few weeks after it's roasted. That's why we deliver your beans within a week of roasting. This way you always drink the most tasty coffee.

FAQ

Which brewing method is this coffee suitable for?

This pack is ideal for an espresso machine. The beans have a bold profile that truly shines as an espresso or in espresso-based drinks (such as a cappuccino).

Power House Blend
Our powerful all-rounder. Perfect for espresso, but its body also makes it a great choice for those who enjoy a bold filter coffee (such as from a French Press or Aeropress).

Original House Blend
The ultimate all-rounder. This bean works for every brewing method: from a balanced espresso to a fruity filter coffee.

What is specialty coffee?

Specialty coffee is coffee of the highest quality, where the unique flavours of the coffee bean truly shine. The Specialty Coffee Association is an independent organisation that rates coffee beans on a scale from 1 to 100 through a process called cupping, which is a standardized method for evaluating coffee. Only coffee that scores above 80 can be sold as specialty coffee. Wakuli sells coffee that scores above 84, so all our coffee qualifies as specialty coffee.

What does lightly roasted coffee mean?

We source high-quality beans and want you to truly taste their distinct flavours. Supermarket coffee is often dark-roasted to create a uniform, bitter flavor that masks differences in quality. That’s why we roast a lot lighter than most coffees you’ll find in supermarkets or cafés. Even our darkest roast is relatively light compared to supermarket standards. Perfect for both espresso and filter coffee, without the bitter aftertaste.

How fresh is your coffee?

Fresh coffee is the most delicious. As a natural product, its delicate aromas and flavors can fade over time. You’ll quickly notice the difference between aged coffee and a fresh roast. That’s why coffee should be packed and delivered as soon as possible after roasting.

Coffee tastes best within 2 and 6 weeks of roasting. That’s why we ship our coffee within 7 days of roasting at the latest. Once it arrives, make sure to store it as airtight as possible to preserve its flavours and aromas.
