WHAT IS
COLD BREW?

Cold brew is coffee, but instead of using hot water to extract the flavours, time does the job. Coarsely ground coffee is steeped in cold water for several hours and then filtered. This slow process creates a different taste profile - naturally sweeter, smoother and with a rounder mouthfeel.

It’s the perfect way to enjoy coffee cold during spring and summer. Whether you want to make it at home or grab one on the go. We've got you covered.

COLD BREW IN 4 STEPS

If needed, grind the coffee coarse and put 60 grams in the filter of the pitcher.

WHERE THIS COFFEE'S FROM.

This microlot comes from our partner CBC in Tanzania, Wakuli's longest-standing partner. CBC is led by Adolf Kumburu and Thomas Ngapomba (see photo), two coffee veterans with the knowledge, the network and the determination to bypass a bureaucratic export system built to keep farmers out of the value chain. Every year since our collaboration started, the quality has gone up. We work closely on quality improvement and diversification: experimenting with natural and anaerobic processing. The next phase? The transition away from chemical inputs towards natural alternatives.

Produced in Mbinga, this special microlot was processed through a controlled, 100 hour anaerobic fermentation. A successful experiment by CBC and Wakuli. The result is a layered, fruity and funky cup with notes of raspberry, grape soda and lavender. We are big fans!
